It minor surface wear from handling. Please see pictures. This coin is 1 3/4 inches in diameter with epoxy on both sides. The name Area 82 was created out people seeing restricted area and no one knew what was going in/out the area...the 82nd Airborne just happened to be assigned on Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan and it was named after Area 51 secracy as Area 82.Afghanistan Regional Operations Cryptologic Center (A-ROCC) - Established in October 2009 and fully operational in the Winter of 2010. The center was closed somewhere before July 1, 2021, when the US left Bagram Airfield. - The A-ROCC was located in 17,000 square-foot office spaces at Area 82 of Bagram Airfield north of Kabul in Afghanistan. - Over 250 employees, 120 of whom linguists (in 2009), including personnel from all countries participating in the Afghanistan SIGINT Coalition (AFSC). - Supported US and Coalition forces throughout Afghanistan.Cryptologic Services Groups NOTE: Never personally given any of the coins. They are from either purchases of collections or from professional makers of military challenge coins. All coins are guaranteed to be in excellent condition unless otherwise specified above.
